Limeburners Single Malt Whisky Port Cask Strength 61% (AWARD M676)

This batch of our Port Cask Strength 61% expression (M676) has been awarded a Gold Medal by the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022.

Morish and indulgent, Port Cask Strength has been bottled straight from the barrel at full strength, achieving rich and delicious Port characteristics.  This is whisky as it sits in the cask and is bottled as single cask expressions. 

One of our most popular and internationally recognised expressions, our Port Cask Strength is made to savour – although we understand if it does not last. This dark to ruby red single malt has been first aged in ex-bourbon American oak before being further matured in an Australian Port cask, for a complex, rich and decadent result.

Crafted at our distillery on the edge of Princess Royal Harbour, this elegant whisky boasts notes of fruit cake filled with caramelised port wine raisins, chopped apricot, sticky caramel, and dark chocolate truffle. 

Each barrel will exhibit its own unique characteristics, creating slight variation from batch to batch.
